Long ago, in a dark and distant land, two young alchemy students toiled endlessly over their cauldrons, concocting all type of potion and poison.
One was called Beau, and one was called Jesse.
The boys were bored... seldom impressed with their book recipes, tired of plants and toadstools and lichen... until one day Beau showed Jesse something secret he'd been working on.
It was a tiny, hairy, horrible little monster.
What in god's name is that hellspawn? Jesse cried in fear, and Beau cackled. Soon he was teaching his friend the forbidden ways of monster creation.
From that day on, hour after hour would be spent toiling deep in the hot, steamy, laboratories of Beau's basement, creating tiny imp after tiny imp, until, only after they had long been reduced to smelly, giggling madmen, a great and mighty troll was born. It was terrible. In their joy they immediately released it upon the townspeople and it wrought havoc. The young boys became feared.
FALLEN ANGEL INDUSTRIES was born.
Word of the evil pair and their monsters quickly spread, and soon other, even madder alchemists came seeking them out. Men with such hideous names as David, Hamish, Ben, Joakim, Bernie, Kyle, and even... Gustav. These new soldiers were tasked with creating their own experiments, and expanding the horde, adding even more gruesome and grotesque creations. Soon the beast was unstoppable.
Beau's power drove him to new, unfathomable heights, and in no time his maddened eyes were set on the world. But it was not to be. For as Beau's ambitions grew, Jesse's horror grew as well. His fear finally overcame him, and a madness festered. Soon his horrific creations became too much even for him to bear, and he descended into insanity, endlessly mumbling incomprehensible incantations and building crude models in his own feces. Beau tried desperately to pull his friend back, first with reason and then with experimentations in mind control and the black arts.
But despite his efforts, one cruel day he was to find his partner swinging coldly in the breeze, naked, hung by the last remnants of his foul labcoat.
A deep, crippling depression set upon Beau, who sat in his throne at the top of the towering Wyvern's Keep, a broken, forlorn king. The other scientists worked tirelessly, fighting for any sort of creation they might engineer, presenting their once fearless leader with a gambit of imps and trolls, ghouls and goblins. Each was more disgusting than the last. But Beau could not be roused.
One by one the mad scientists left his side, sadly, saying parting words, and leaving to rest the limp hand of their king.
After a time, Beau's body fell into decay...
...but the alchemist's spirit lived on. |

our games should all include the necessary DLLs, but if you have an error, you can download a pack of the three most common here. copying them into the relative directory should help. if it doesn't, try copying them into your Windows/System32 directory. lastly, these games were created years ago, and while most still work, there may be display issues on new 64-bit operating systems. use with caution!

Made by Bernie in 2005! Visit him at origamihero.com.
Step into the paws of our dull-witted kitten protagonist, who's been ordered to voyage to a mysterious tower that's appeared in the South. Acquire numerous new abilities, explore various levels from an adorable overhead map, and even save your progress, lest your feline friend meet unfortunate demise. The game features Bernie's legendary dry humor and... a kitty! Check out how much people liked it back in the day:
"A Game With A Kitty is a great "short but sweet" 2D platformer that harks back to the good old days of SNES games."
"If you're a fan of Super Mario World then you have to try A Game With A Kitty. Even if you're not a fan you should still try this game."
"The protagonist is cute!"
If you haven't played this one yet, you owe it to yourself to check it out!

Made by Hamish in 2004, and we're still looking for him...
When terrorists get their hands on nuclear weapons, it's up to you to eliminate the threat! Fight through the jungle, deserts, and even the arctic with ten different weapons, but beware that things may not be exactly as they seem. Commando's cool weapons, military themes, and unforgiving difficulty made it a hit back in the day among those of us who loved platform shooters even more than we loved Counterstrike.
"Lots of different weapons, plenty of enemies, gallons of gore. Fun."
"Yep, this one is as addictive as chocolate."
Tip: This one seems to have problems getting past the level select menu in Windows 7. Keep trying! Tip 2: Press Alt+Enter for fullscreen!

Made by me, Jesse! In... 2003?
Take control of modest, slightly asthmatic monster exterminator Douglas Circumstance through five challenging and varied stages, from a storehouse to the service elevator of a large corporation, to the inner workings of its plumbing system. Rid your clients of all the various monsters you come across, and search for the horrible source of the infestation. A number of upgrades to Douglas's extermination gun will help in his quest, but his success will ultimately depend on your quick wit and reflexes. Doug's simple but challenging gameplay and NES feel made it a favorite, and here's what some people had to say about Douglas back in the day:
"If any of you grew up on the NES as a child, then you might as well skip this review and hit the download link."
"Douglas Circumstance is an excellent anime-style platformer that will appeal to anyone who misses the days of 8-bit consoles."
"It's a small, enjoyable, and above all nostalgic game that's fairly charming for how simplistic it really is."

Made by Ben, back in 2004, but I haven't found his site yet.
Machines of Destruction brings you one of the most customizable, most crack-tastic car combat games ever made. Make a driver, pick a model of car, and then dive into the sea of options for weapons, armor, shields, secondary guns, supplementary items, and add-ons, before heading out to meet your opponents in battle, on the race track, or even in a futuristic game of soccer. Not enough? Jump into the weapons editor, and create your own devastating cannons (be careful, that crazy custom plasma launcher's gonna cost you!).
"What makes MoD different from most games in the genre is the excellent range of customization."
"With polished cartoon-style graphics that are up to FAIND's usual standards, excellent Weapons Designer feature, and plenty of frenetic action, Machines of Destruction is highly recommended to action fans, especially those with superhuman reflexes ;)"
This one can be played online, but single player is a blast as well, thanks to a number of AI difficulty settings.

Made by a jolly corpse's own David, in 2004!
One of the most difficult, maddening, and purely addictive games Fallen Angel released back in the day was David's perfection-demanding test of skill and speed of reflex. Guide your hero through 30 levels of puzzle platforming action, jumping, bouncing, punching, and exploding. Beware those deadly "!" crates, because the tiniest touch can set them off, ensuring an instant and violent death. It's tough, but will keep you coming back for more, eyes bloodshot and hand twitching over the shift key. Even the urban dictionary people have this to say:
"May lead to ulcers."
And David himself comments in the readme:
"Make it through all 30 levels, and you're entirely too good at this game and should stop playing immediately."
See for yourself just exactly what we're talking about...

This one was made in 2006 by our friend Joakim, formerly ZeroTau, who you can pay a visit to at konjak.org now.
In the distant future, the world has finally settled into a state of peace... or has it? The Peacekeeper's League is about to come under attack, and face the greatest threat to world peace yet. Play as Noitu Love, fighting your way through six complex levels, morphing into several different forms to solve puzzles, and using your mad ninja skills to take out wave after wave of fierce Darns (what the heck's a Darn, anyways?). This one was an instant hit, for its awesome boss battles and old school platforming action. Just listen!
"By far the best aspect of NL is the boss fights that you will have mid stage and at the end of each level."
"The final boss encounter is simply amazing, even when compared to other platformers freeware or otherwise."
And a little birdie told me that Noitu Love 2 is simply amazing, and has brought our friend critical and commercial success. Well done, Zorro!

One of Beau's oldest games (2001!) is one of Fallen Angel's most classic and most remembered. Go against a friend, an enemy, or the computer in this timeless VS. puzzle battle, choosing one of six unique generals, each who commands a different castle with varied strengths and weaknesses. Wear your opponent down with knights, soldiers, and warrior elephants, barrage them with archers, airships, and bombadeers, or use deadly magic and call down meteors and plagues. How will you dominate?
"All and all this game is yet another great release from FAInd, and i strongly advise you download it now."
"A tremendous fun [sic], especially in two-player mode against another human player."
Beau's mentioned to me he still gets comments about this one to this day, and as evidence of that you can even see videos of the 2001 release on youtube!

Remember StreamBolt? You should! Gustav made this classic in 2004. He doesn't appear to have a site now...
Just when it was thought to be saved, the mysterious and powerful Streambolt crystal is stolen! Chase the evil mastermind in a fast-paced side-scrolling shooter, through futuristic airships, across barren deserts, deep into underground complexes, and even into space. Battle through an army of unique bosses and varied stages to the ultimate showdown for the fate of the universe! Gustav's sci-fi romp gained fame for its habit-forming gameplay and stellar spritework, and was a favorite among Fallen Angel fans:
"If fast hard arcade action is what you are looking for then StreamBolt is for you."
"All in all, Streambolt is a very well polished, superb freeware action game that no fan of the genre should miss."
Gustav started a remake of this one called StreamBolt Desero, and while it doesn't appear he finished, you can still play the demo here.

Ben and Gustav teamed up to make this online shooter in 2003!
An endless swarm of alien ships threatens the planet and our very existence, and it's up to you and your friends to stop them! A vast selection of weapons and upgrades, special items like bombs, missile racks, and shields, and the devastating special attack volleys comprise your armory, and you'll need every one of them. Super Ken Senshi was one of the only online multiplayer games in the community in its day, and had a cult following of fans devoted to topping the score boards. It appears some people developed obsessive behavior because of this one:
"This is, quite possibly, the most addictive Klik game I've played."
"It's easy to find yourself playing this game for hours on end..."
Tip: Hold control when you click start, and then wait for a few seconds at the hosting screen to make a single player game!

Beau's cute little counter-terrorist action/strategy game hit us hard in 2004.
In a world wrought with fear, only the courage of three elite soldiers can overcome a mounting terrorist threat. Take control of Johnson, Vasquez, and Miles through 16 large, varying levels, and make use of a multitude of primary weapons, secondary arms, explosives, and more. Defeat the evil Tangos especially efficiently and you may even be awarded with a selection of top-secret firearms and special missions. Here's what people said about Tango Strike:
"Tango Strike is a superb freeware gem from Fallen Angel Industries."
"...this was an enjoyable game and did the job nicely with its take on squad-based teamwork and combat."
"If you love Rainbow Six or other 'secret ops' games, you will love this wonderful game that lifts the bar for freeware games up a notch."
In traditional Beau fashion, the extras go above and beyond here, and you may find that those extra levels you discover are like entire classic games themselves. Good luck!
