Game crashs on start

Hi, my game keeps crashing when I try to start it. I've got Windows 7 - 64 Bit and the linked software in the readme.txt  (XNA Framework and NET 4.0 Framework).
Maybe you've got a clue? If you need more infos just like the error log of Windows, feel free to ask.

btw.: neither the windows installation works, nor the desura installation. The Cartographer works fine.

We've encountered this problem with a few users. All of the AJC devs use Windows7 64-bit as well, but there are a few things that could be causing problems. First, make sure you're running the program as Admin, because it may be complaining when the game tries to write files (save, continue, config) to the folder.

If it still complains, I'll see what David can do!

Running as Admin doesn't work either, same problems.

That's odd that the cartographer works, but the main game doesn't. It makes me think this could be one of two things - either there is some content missing or corrupted, in which case deleting and re-downloading the game should fix it.

The other one will be a bit more tricky. When the game boots, it will check for the presence of a settings file, and if not present, will close run the settings configuration app. If your system has some issue with the game writing files into the folder the game's in, or running external applications, that could cause a crash. Check to see if there's settings.cfg present in the folder; if not, run settings.exe first, and maybe that'll fix it.

I think i'll write some error-logging stuff to help me diagnose these issues a bit better; bear with us, and thanks for letting us know!

The downloaded files should all be correct, since it runs on my other computer (Windows 7 - 64 Bit).

The settings.cfg is also in the folder and if I delete it, it will always creates a new file when I start settings.exe/Wyv and Keep.exe.
My config file contains:
width=1280
height=720
fullscreen=no
sound=yes
music=yes

Would appreciate your error-logging stuff, helping where ever I can.
